A delightful antique Edwardian Suffragette necklace featuring a fabulous pendant decorated with sparkling Diamonds, a teardrop Peridot dropper and a lovely Amethyst heart in the centre which is approx. 3ct.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which were chosen to counter the masculine women’s rights stereotypes put forward by opponents. Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
The pendant is crafted in Platinum and backed in 18ct Yellow Gold. Complete with a Platinum chain with 14ct Gold box clasp and safety catch. It is a stunning Suffragette piece displaying superb craftsmanship from the era.
