This is a fringed 100% virgin wool scarf featuring a plaid pattern in green, blue, yellow and red against a white background colour.  The fringe is pulled.  This was acquired from the estate of someone who owned a clothing manufacturer or was a retailer - it is one of a number of “sample” scarves that were in the estate, all made by the “Chelsea Mfg. Co” of Montreal, a Canadian trademark established in 1948 and abandoned in 1994.

Age: most likely 1970s

Tag:  Chelsea CA 02715 / 2106 Wht Tartan 40 Dz Available.

Size: 52 1/2” long, inclusive of its 1” fringe at either end.  It has a width of 12 3/4”.

Condition:  It is in like-new condition, never used, very clean and well stored over the years.

This is a very nice quality wool scarf - clean look, great to find unused like this!
